FOOD FIRST FEEDS NEIGHBORS

             Our next Food First Sunday is Feb. 1^st. Items we can use include

             + 100% fruit juice

             + macaroni and cheese

             +  pasta sauce

             + canned, juice-pack fruit

             + rice

             + low fat, low sugar, low salt items

The continued generosity of people in Holbrook in keeping the Food Pantry shelves full is a sign of God’s grace at work in our midst. He puts it into our hearts to be generous and we respond.

LENTEN FOLDERS DEVELOP SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE

During the days before Ash Wednesday, Lenten folders will be available for you to take. The idea is to put one quarter each day into the folder and say a prayer.

             Once again, I would like to emphasize that it’s not about the money. It’s about the spiritual discipline of taking time each day in Lent to remember and be thankful for the great love that God has shown us thorough the death of His Son Jesus. This strengthens our faith and enriches our lives. The use of money, even a quarter, means we are personally invested for we know our money is not easily come by. Giving something precious helps us know the precious gift God gives us.

             The folders may be returned at Easter. The monies go to support our Gospel in Action ministries as we take the love we are given and share it with others.
